Snow Snow and More Snow

This week has been a very cold and white week, especially for Western Washington. It has been a long time since this are has seen it this bad. I think we ended up with 18 inches accumulation this week and are expecting more to come. Zander is officially three months old today.

This was taken after the first snowfall on 12/14/08. Yes that is a tearful face. He decided he doesn't like making snow angels.

This is our house two days later. 12/16/08.

This is our house the very next day 12/17/08. We went on to get about 9 more inches in the next 24 hours.

The snow was about 10 1/2 inches at this point. I decided I wouldn't put Zander through anymore pictures since it ended up being deep enough to cover his whole body. Yes he is standing.

Santa Clause

Zander went to visit Santa today. All he wants for Christmas is to meet his Grandpa.

Baby Dedication

Today we had Zander dedicated at church. That is where we believe that God gave Zander to us and we dedicate him back to God by agreeing to raise him accordingly and then a blessing is said over him.It was a short and sweet ceremony.

Be Thankful

We went to Kenny and Shelly's for Thanksgiving dinner and had a great time. The spread was huge and delicious. The women and children ate at the table and the men ate whilewatching football.

Just Spending Time Together

Since Halloween we have just been taking it easy and spending time with Ron before he has to leave.

Dad stayed at home handing out candy while we went trick or treating with the neighbors. Zander wasn't too impressed he looked just like this most of the time.

Pumpkin Carving

We went to our neighbor's house this evening to carve our pumpkins. It was a blast. Zander had a special outfit for the occasion. Thank you Bob and Joni.

Lolo & Lola visit 10/14-10/21

Okay so we saw my mom and sister off on October 11th and had three days before we went and picked up Ron's parents(Lolo and Lola). They were here for a week. We did basically all the same things with them tht we did with my mom except we went smelt fishing on the 19th. We caught about 100 of them. It was a lot of fun. Here Zander shows off our catch. That is one big fish. Mostly though hey just wanted to hang out with Zander. Lola held him a lot. She also made a lot of good Filipino food. Thanks Mom/ Lola. We really enjoyed the visit. Once again we made the hour and fifteen minute trip back to the airport to drop them off on 10/21. Ron and I both have had our fill of Seattle for the time being.

Grandma and Aunt Bethany

Zander's first real bath. He loves it and I am certain I will be taking a lot of these pics to show to any future girlfriends.

My mom (Grandma) and little sister, Bethany, came out September 27th and left this morning. It was great to have them both even though the 13 year old can be a little trying at times. Mom of course was great with Zander and I was impressed with Bethany's abilities too. We were also able to get several things done during their visit. Grandma and Ron finished the nursery. Thanks so much!!!

We went and had portraits made.

We also took a couple of day trips one of which included a ferry ride and a trip to the Deception Pass Bridge. Zander decided he wanted to eat instead of checking out the sights. So he isn't in any of the pics.

The First Week

We were hoping that my mom would make it for the birth but Zander decided to come six days early. I was upset at first but it was nice being able to get to know him without having other people trying to get to know him too.

It was also very exhausting! If you notice Daddy is the one smiling. That's because he got to sleep.

Going Home

After waiting at the hospital all day on Sunday, we were able to take Zander home.

Beginning Zander's Blog

Now that he is 11 1/2 weeks old I will try to get this started and bring it up to date. I will be showing the postings as if I had started this the day he was born so I can try to keep it in chronlogical order.

Welcome To the World

Zander Patrick was born on Saturday September 20, 2008 at 4:45 p.m. He weighed in at a hefty

8lbs 11oz and 19.75 in. long.
