Nothing Runs Like a Deere

As most of you know I was raised on a farm in Arkansas so it is only fitting... need I say more. My mom made the outfit for Christmas and it finally fits. And we must not forget "GO HOGS".
Also Zander is now five months old and has slept in a bassinet in my room since birth. He has officially outgrown it and had to move to his room on Friday. This is him in his big bed.

It's Been a Long Time

It has been awhile since my last post and a few things have happened since then. Zander has learned how to roll from his stomach to his back and is working on the back to stomach move. He can also kind of sit up now.He has learned to say Dada and many other baby sounds. He also likes his sippy cup. Oh, and last but not least Daddy came home.

Pacifier v. Thumb

I have been giving Zander a pacifier since he was five days old. I was hoping it would detour him from sucking his thumb.
And the winner by knockout...
THUMB!!!

New Hat

I was shopping at a thrift store today and found this hat. I think he is just too cute in it.

It is also the first time he has ever sat in his booster seat. He really enjoyed it. Guess it is time to start feeding him regular food.

Christmas Trip

Okay so Zander and I went to Arkansas for Christmas(12/22-01/02). It was nice once we finally got there. First we had to spend seven hours at O'hare Intl. but atleast we didn't have to spend the night and Chicago has a great USO so we spent a little time there. Zander did very well on the airplanes, he may be a natural born traveler. Which is good since he is a Navy Brat.
I was very excited to watch my dad(Grandpa) and my Grandparents(Great Grandparents) spend time with Zander. Mom was very glad to see him again.
I wasn't able to get a picture with Great Grandma:( . Definately next time.

He doesn't really like being a reindeer but what is Christmas without a few tears. Tristan could care less as long as he was able to chew on the tag.

Zander with my oldest sister Teresa.
Cousin Mercedes. She argued with my dad about getting to hold him from the time she found out we would be visiting. He said he wasn't going to let anyone else hold him. It looks like Mercedes won again. Isn't she smug?
Poppy Ed, Tristan, and Zander on Christmas Day.
Stamatia(a.k.a Stimey), Zander, Tristan, and Britta in front of the tree at the Herzogs'.

Snow Snow and More Snow

This week has been a very cold and white week, especially for Western Washington. It has been a long time since this are has seen it this bad. I think we ended up with 18 inches accumulation this week and are expecting more to come. Zander is officially three months old today.
This was taken after the first snowfall on 12/14/08. Yes that is a tearful face. He decided he doesn't like making snow angels.

This is our house two days later. 12/16/08.

This is our house the very next day 12/17/08. We went on to get about 9 more inches in the next 24 hours.

The snow was about 10 1/2 inches at this point. I decided I wouldn't put Zander through anymore pictures since it ended up being deep enough to cover his whole body. Yes he is standing.
